Club members also connect with a camper who will share their own personal experience, giving REALTORS® a firsthand story of their donation’s impact.

“I think the Kids to Camp Club program will make a huge difference in the lives of those with disabilities all across the country. One person raising $2,100 is an amazing gesture of generosity,” said 15-year-old Brandon Liston, Easter Seals National Ambassador. “That amount actually pays for one camper’s total camp experience – and that experience will change their life forever!”

The first five Kids to Camp Club members were celebrated last week:

Chiyoko Kakino, CENTURY 21 Canada, Vancouver, BC

Allan Zunec, CENTURY 21 Bamber Realty Ltd. Calgary, AB

Nadine Beaucage, CENTURY 21 Bamber Realty Ltd. Calgary, AB

Julie Vesuwalla, CENTURY 21 Bamber Realty Ltd. Calgary, AB

Stephen Chow, CENTURY 21 Atria Realty Inc. Toronto, ON

Easter Seals will highlight each club member on special installations at their local camps and nationally in the organization’s annual report. As well, members receive invites to special Easter Seals’ events as honourary guests.

“It’s inspiring to see the passion our CENTURY 21 organization across Canada has for helping Easter Seals families nationwide. This dedication to helping others is heart-warming and so very important to recognize,” said Martin Charlwood, vice chairman and CEO of CENTURY 21 Canada.  “On behalf of the CENTURY 21 Canada head office team, thank you to all club members. You are truly making a difference in the lives of these incredible kids!”

Since 1979, CENTURY 21 System members around the world have supported local Easter Seals families through fundraising and volunteering. To date, they have contributed over $111 million. Last year alone, CENTURY 21 offices across Canada raised over $650,000 for Easter Seals.

About the Kids to Camp program
In 2009, CENTURY 21 Canada™ introduced the Kids to Camp program, sending children to one of 16 summer camps run by Easter Seals across the country. Through events like The Drop Zone, 24 hour relays, Woman2Warrior, and locally organized fundraising functions, System members have provided over 1,000 children with the independence of fully-accessible summer camps and memorable experiences throughout Canada.

How are Easter Seals camps different?
Each camp is specially designed and equipped to accommodate children and young adults with special needs. The addition and maintenance of ramps and lifts, the modification of doorways, washrooms, the purchase of specialized sports equipment like climbing walls and giant swings are just a few of the expenses unique to these kinds of operations.

3 ways getting a puppy is like buying your next home

  • Each puppy experience is different.

Assuming your new puppy is going to act, learn, and be like your current dog is crazy. My last dog was calm, docile, and timid.  My new puppy jumps off the patio into the flower pots, does a commando roll then flies across the grass in a matter of seconds. Assuming the sale of your current home will proceed in the same way the sale of your last home did falls along these same lines.

Your last home sold in two days with five offers, each of which was a larger amount over your asking price. This sale will most likely be very different.  Sales cycles differ. Market conditions differ.  The process, documentation, and approach will have changed.
